Dokeos at the Sorbone University
Since the XIIIth century, the name of Sorbonne is a well known as a place of high intellectual activity. The Panthéon-Sorbonne University teaches some 40.000 students in law, political science, economics and human science. To meet the need for online exercising and groupworking, the IT department of the Sorbonne is now launhing a learning portal.
Supervised by Michel Moreau-Belliard, Mustapha Alouani improved the Dokeos LDAP layer and linked it to the Sessions tool so as to automate students registration in both portal and courses. The result is a smooth integration into the existing university administration system, allowing immediate access to all students and teachers. Watch the Flash presentation (French interface).
