How to : Installation Step 4 MYSQL ERROR 1044

Hello Everyone... need your help with this issue. I host with hostgator, was able to install dokeos version 1.8 successfully on hostgator however the updated versions 2.0 and 2.1 wont install beyond step 4. The database, the script is trying to connect to is incorrect. I've had the hostgator team try to install the script and they too could not install beyond step 4, they suggest there's an issue with the script and I should contact dokeos. The script rejects the correct username, password and database combination and attempts to connect to dokeos_databse_connection_test thus throwing the following error:

MySQL error: 1044
Access denied for user 'code2boo_dba'@'localhost' to database 'dokeos_database_connection_test'
Details: The database connection has failed. This is generally due to the wrong user, the wrong password or the wrong database prefix being set above. Please review these settings and try again.

I have searched everywhere online and a few people also experienced the same problem but I was unbable to find a solution. HELP!!!

i also can not pass step 4 to next any one help me?

i checked the database and the user connected to that and was no problem

permissions also was ok due to installing guide .

but errore is :

MySQL error: 1045
Access denied for user 'http://dstar.'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Hey,

I decided to install version 1.8x which installed correctly on hostgator... without any step 4 errors. The new installation (dokeos 1.8x) read the MYSQL settings correctly and was up and running in no time. I attempted to do an upgrade to the current version dokeos 2.1 and I believe I have discovered where the bug is... the script is substituting the "database prefix as the username" thus throwing off the correct database settings and generating either a MYSQL error 1044 or 1045. I'm trying to go through the script in the install folder to correct this error. Will keep u posted on my progress.

I check with the dev team if we can do a fix for this in Dokeos 2.1.2.

i changed prefix to username but no benifit

thanks for yoyr kindness . and birght explain . but changin prefix to username did not any benifit .
